Town Green Proclamation for Maple Grove Yellow Ribbon

City of Maple Grove Proclaimed a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community Celebration
featuring Rocket Club

Location: Maple Grove Town Green ( I’ll supply the address too)
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 10, 7:00pm 
Rocket Club Concert begins at 7:30 pm

Last August, Maple Grove began the process to become a nationally recognized Yellow Ribbon Community; A Yellow Ribbon City’s purpose is to unite all areas within a community to create a comprehensive network that connects and coordinates resources for the purpose of proactively supporting Servicemembers, Veterans and military families. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon cities are required to complete a sustainable action plan, which is then submitted to the Minnesota National Guard and Governor Dayton for final approval and issuance of an official proclamation.

More than 50 community members and leaders contributed to the success of our action plan and Maple Grove’s Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community proclamation. We invite you to attend this exciting event for our community and share in the celebration!

To celebrate our proclamation, Rocket Club will be performing live after the Proclamation ceremony.

Maple Grove Yellow Ribbon Kick-off Event

August 14, 2012

Please join us at 7:00 pm, August 14, 2012 at the Town Green in Maple Grove, MN for a city-wide event that celebrates the launch of the Maple Grove Yellow Ribbon Network. The event will offer an ice cream social for the public. All are welcome.

Maple Grove is in the process of becoming a Yellow Ribbon City, recognized by the State of Minnesota for providing resources and services to veterans, active service members and their families.

What the Yellow Ribbon Network will achieve:

• Reminding the community that support for our service members doesn’t stop once they come home.
• Connecting organizations and individuals that can provide knowledge, resources and support to the service members and their families.
• Discounts at available retailers and service providers.

The MGYRN is looking for volunteers to help coordinate the resources available and help proactively acquire donations in the form of services, discounts and funds. For more information and to get involved with the MGYRN contact:
